Everton have agreed a deal worth £40 million ($54 million) with Monaco for United States striker Folarin Balogun, according to reports on Monday.
The 25-year-old is set to return to the Premier League three years after leaving Arsenal for Monaco in a deal reportedly worth £35 million.
Everton will now look to finalise personal terms with Balogun and complete his medical ahead of the transfer deadline at 22:00 GMT on Tuesday, before officially confirming the move.
Balogun rose to prominence with his performances for the United States at the recent World Cup, although his campaign was also overshadowed by controversy.
